Matt Smith, Account Manager of Dealer Fusion's Southern California market, notes consumers spend more time looking at the car when there are more pictures, solidifying the dealership in the mind of the potential buyer and making the page they're looking at “stickier.” A variety of pictures also gives the impression the dealer is up-to-date technologically.
“Coupled with 'blurbs,' the dealer is able to tell the story of the car in great detail,” Smith says. “Consumers who see more than one picture get a very good sense of the car and do not need to spend a lot of time on the lot wandering around with no real purpose.”
Smith says that the more information provided the consumer — price, pictures, blurbs — the more they feel in control. This also shortens the sales cycle and enhances the perception of a positive buying experience, translating into more referrals for the dealer down the road. |
